Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Visits Enelco to Discuss Recovery Boiler ESP Technology

APP’s global R&D and project teams visited our Bengbu factory to discuss ESP design for kraft recovery boilers.

On October 27, 2026, the global technology R&D department and project team of Asia Pulp & Paper (APP), part of the Sinar Mas Group, visited Enelco’s manufacturing base in Bengbu, Anhui. The two teams discussed electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) for kraft recovery boilers in the pulp and paper industry, covering technical solutions, engineering application and equipment manufacturing.

From the Guangxi Jingui project to the next generation

In 2023 Enelco was awarded the ESPs for two recovery boilers at APP’s Guangxi Jingui mill in Qinzhou, designed for an outlet emission of 10 mg/Nm³. The project is now in the site installation phase.

Designing for recovery boiler flue gas

Enelco presented its approach to system design for recovery boiler flue gas and salt-cake dust. A recovery boiler ESP performs well only when gas distribution, collecting plate configuration, rapping, ash handling and electrical controls are designed to work together.
